A valuable addition to MSN

Wednesday, October 20, 2004
If you are like me and use MSN as your main source of contact with friends and family while online at work or home, then MSN Plus is an absolute must. It is FREE and extremely easy to configure but also includes a number of more advanced features for the Power Users in the bunch. Have a look and give it a try. It can be downloaded at the address below:

p.s. It includes a "BOSS KEY" that has proven invaluable at work.... !!!!

POWER USER TIP: Turn off unnecessary security loopholes in WindowsXP

Wednesday, October 13, 2004
I have come across a small little app that does a great job of disabling some built-in update and authentication 'features' in WindowsXP and ALOT MORE !!!!. This is a security "must" in the SP2 version of WindowsXP... This is a highly recommended utility for the WindowsXP Power User. Folks that are not that comfortable with tweaking XP should be extremely careful as there are some settings that can do some real damage to your system...but then again, the really good apps always come with that disclaimer.

It can be found at the following URL

Here is a screenshot, DON'T WORRY THERE IS AN ENGLISH VERSION of the App, the author only supplied a german language version :-}

Use Gmail as a Mappable Drive

Thursday, October 07, 2004
GMail Drive is a small very cool application that allows you to use your Gmail account as off-site storage.

In technical terms, it is is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium.

Read more and download at the link below.. a MUST HAVE for fans or GMAIL like myself..
